Amazon.com Review From the renowned company that created the Swiss Army knife a century ago comes this set of tools for men and women to tuck into pocket, purse, glove compartment, fishing-tackle box, or anyplace else where it can be found in a hurry. Measuring just 2-1/4 inches long--smaller than a pack of gum--and sheathed in the famous Swiss Army red plastic, the Signature II original pocket knife is a toolbox and manicure kit small enough to fit into a pocket or clip onto a key ring, and it has a minilight to illuminate the job at hand or a car-door's lock in the dark. A valued companion that provides security and confidence, this pocket knife consists of six separate tools and carries a lifetime warranty against defects. The tools folded inside the pocket knife are a small knife blade, scissors, a nail file with a screwdriver tip, and a ballpoint pen. The minilight is on one end and shines a red light when you press the Swiss Army logo. --Fred Brack

Most functional Knife ever made. May 25, 2010 Z. Tate (NC Mountains) I have owned this knife (twice) over five years. I lost my first one right after 911 at a concert. Had to throw is away, like I was going to hijack the auditorium. Anyway, at the price it wasn't worth losing my place in line and having to go back and leave it in my car.
The second one I had long enough to have to replace the battery (for the light, though limited use) and the pen ink cartridge. Having to replace stuff like that I think is a good sign of use.
Anyway, finally broke my second one, too much sideward pressure on my file blade, (which has saved many hang nails). So I ordering the exact same one.
Way to go Swiss Army Victorinox. Just don't forget to check it through when you fly.
Swiss quality, just one thing missing December 31, 2009 A. Spitzer (Droopy Michigan) I am a big SAK fan and truly appreciate the quality of their stuff and ingenuity. Every thing on this has worked great since I bought this about a year ago and is still working perfectly. If I did not expect so much out of them I would give this five stars but I have one complaint. I think that they could have been able to fit in some tweezers even with the light on that side. Other than that, it is truly an excellent thing.
5 Year owner September 21, 2008 Gary P (Geneva, Illinois USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have owned this knife for 5 years since I purchased it in Switzerland. I think it is the handiest small knife they make. I have since that time casually looked for a replacement knowing that eventually it would break and was surprised that it was hard to find. Well the spring for the scissors has broken and thanks to the internet I've found one. Let me comment about some of the reviews. The knife blade and screw driver are close to the key ring and if you plan to use them a lot you need a differant knife. This design makes the light, pen and scissors easier to use. This is not a replacement for a pen, light or scissors for that matter it is to be used when they are not available. I carry this knife for just that purpose and have been saved quite a few times when I've needed a pen or a light in some tight places. I guess the same thing can be said for the big multibladed knives but this knife is only 2 1/2 inches long and easy to carry. It is so unobtrusive that I've almost forgot to put it in my luggage at the airport.
Swiss Army Sig II pocket knife January 19, 2007 William R. Antonowicz (Ledyard, CT) I received the knife a few days after the order, which I think is very commendable, considering the Christmas rush. However, the pen on the knife didn't work, which mustr be a quality problem with the mfr. I assume they don't check every one.
not practical January 11, 2007 Jessica S. Silva (CT) i bought this knife for my husband for a christmas gift. at first he was thrilled to get a new one. upon putting the knife on his key ring and trying to use it, he noticed that the blade opens toward the key chain, making it almost impossible (and very uncomfortable) to use. He had to buy another knife that opened the opposite way. He did, however, like the other features, namely the light and the pen.
